I'm becoming increasingly convinced that the Bushies and the Islamofucks are working together. Or, if not exactly together, then they're working in parallel toward the same goal. They both want Armageddon to happen, like, now.
Case in point: Al-Qaeda kills 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001. The Bush administration uses that as a pretext to invade an Arab country (after blowing up a lot of shit in Afghanistan first and then forgetting about it) whose leader is a totalitarian monster who nonetheless--despite the Bushies' best efforts to scrape up evidence--had nothing to do with 9/11. They indoctrinate our troops--which include a lot of halfassedly-trained reservists--with this Iraq --> 9/11 myth, and set them loose with vengeance on their minds, no strong command structure, and no awareness of sissy liberal stuff like the Geneva Conventions. They torture Iraqi prisoners--and even more stupidly, photograph themselves doing it. Then, of course, these photos wind up all over the Internet and the media--even the U.S. media, which has been bending over backwards to keep from showing the American people any of the blood and gore that the entire rest of the world has been seeing.
But THEN--just as the horror is sinking in, support for the war among Americans is wavering, and even Bush's fellow Republicans are starting to rip him and Rumsfeld several new assholes all at once--al-Qaeda butchers an American, and videotapes themselves doing it, and puts it up on the fucking Internet, thereby reminding the world what bloodthirsty and uncivilized wastes of oxygen THEY are. In doing so, they push the torture photos into the background and replace them with calls for yet more vengeance, thrice-warmed over "Why We Fight" rhetoric, and plans for the next round of bombing the living shit out of people who had nothing to do with any of it.
And so on. And so on. And so on.
I hate humanity. And I need a drink.
